Our Bodies, Our Stories.

An annual tradition at NYU, during this week, the Office of Global Inclusion, Diversity, and Strategic Innovation create opportunities for students, faculty, and administrators to deepen their understanding of the experiences of others and raise awareness of the individual and collective injustices that confront many in our society. Past speakers at the marquee event have included Chella Man, Sarah Sunshine Manning, Mandy Carter, LaShaya Darisaw, and many others.

This year's event will feature performances that explore how we pursue and manifest bodily autonomy across a spectrum of identities. We hope for the performances to tell stories about when our right to exist within our bodies has been restrained, policed, or disciplined as well as about what it means to be free in body, mind, and spirit. There will be a panel discussion with performers following the performance.
